White Christmas description and itinerary
Make this year's Christmas a truly memorable and magical one by spending it deep inside the Arctic Circle, in Lapland, the home of Father Christmas. Christmas is always a magical time of year but it is even more so when a blanket of snow covers the ground and when there's the added anticipation of meeting Father Christmas himself.
We fly into Enontekio, close to both the village of Hetta and the border town of Karesuando. You can choose from an excellent choice of accommodation in both locations. Your short break includes all the contents of the trips earlier in December (private family visit to Santa, snowmobile, reindeer and husky safaris, etc), with the added magic of being in Lapland for Christmas day itself.
23 December
Fly from your local airport and arrive in Lapland amid snow-covered forests, grazing reindeer and the cold, cold air. Transfer to your accommodation and receive your thermal suit and boots. Welcome meeting. Dinner at hotel.
Christmas Eve
Breakfast. Visit Santa on Christmas Eve itself! You'll be able to enjoy a private family meeting with him in his hidden log cabin before he sets off to deliver all his presents! Snow fun: tobogganing, kids' snowmobiles, tandem-skiing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at hotel.
Christmas Day
Experience the magic of Lapland on Christmas Day itself. After breakfast, you can enjoy the day at leisure with lunch provided, followed by a special Christmas Dinner in the evening.
Boxing Day
Breakfast. On Boxing Day you can enjoy two of your three arctic safaris: 5km husky, 1.5hr snowmobile, 0.5hr reindeer. Lunch and dinner at hotel.
27 December
Breakfast. In the morning you can take the third of your arctic safaris. Later you will be taken to the airport for your flight home (with dinner served on the plane).
