Holly and the Ivy itinerary
If you don't have time for a short break in Santa' s kingdom before Christmas, why not visit him over the Christmas holidays? Now you can escape those dreary turkey leftovers by flying off after Boxing Day to the comforts of the Davvi Arctic Lodge. Santa himself is feeling a little tired now, after delivering presents to boys and girls everywhere. But he is always delighted to have visitors to his hideaway cabin, hidden deep inside the snow-draped forest, and if you manage to find him, he will be happy to put aside his holiday brochures for a festive season chat.
Setting off after Boxing Day is just the beginning of your short break with Transun. There is so much included. From a Husky Experience to a Search for Santa, from a Snowmobile Adventure to a Festive Dinner, your three-night break is filled with magical experiences. Here is a typical itinerary.
December 27
After a festive flight, you land in Enontekio in Finland and are guided to your coach. The one-hour journey takes you through the heart of the Sami lands. Watch out for reindeer in the woods! We stop to collect your all-in-one thermal suits and boots. After c hecking in at the Davvi Arctic Lodge, your Transun rep hosts a welcome meeting and will answer any further questions during a welcome dinner. Tonight, you can join one of our optional activities, such as a Northern Lights snowmobile night safari.
December 28
After breakfast, you head out on your first safari - either a thrilling 40-minute Husky Experience or an exhilarating 1.5-hour Snowmobile Adventure, followed by a warming buffet lunch at the hotel. Throughout the day you can enjoy snow activities outside, with toboggans available free and kick sledges upon payment of a deposit. There's even an outdoor ice rink, with skates for youngsters to hire. Alternatively, you might opt to join the inside craft activities or maybe try one of our exciting optional excursions, such as trying your hand at Reindeer Herding. After dinner, relax, or join one of our optional night safaris.
December 29
After breakfast, you head outside for Supervised Snow Fun, a day of activities that include a Showshoe Trek, Snowball Throwing Contest, Tandem Skis and Children's Skis, Snowman Building, Tug-of-War, Snow Hockey and lots more! There will also be a supervised kids' snowmobile ride. Activities are available throughout the day. A warming lunch will be served in the hotel. Then, the highlight of the day, when you board a reindeer sleigh and set off in Search of Father Christmas. During a private family meeting in his cabin, each child has the chance to talk with Santa and receives a small gift. After dinner, why not join an optional Northern Lights husky safari?
December 30
Check out after breakfast, before joining your last Santa safari, a 40-minute Husky Experience or a .5-hour Snowmobile Adventure, whichever you did not join previously. There should be time for one final play in the snow or to join one of our optional excursions. After lunch at the hotel, you depart for Enontekio and your flight home.
