Here at Transun, we have fallen head over heels with Lapland – the magnificent scenery, the tranquil landscape and the magical memories it creates. Which is why we believe it is the ideal location for the ultimate ‘white wedding’.
Back in 1998, our dedicated wedding planners teamed up with our Lapland specialists to ensure that we could offer couples a truly unique day. Since then, we have been making couples' dreams come true each winter. From proposals, to marriages and honeymoons, we are pleased to have been part of over 100 wedding days in Lapland.
Our exclusive hotels offer venues for groups of all shapes and sizes, from intimate parties as small as eight to lavish receptions for up to 80 guests. We understand that for some, the idea of an Arctic wedding can be daunting, which is why each couple are assigned their own wedding co-ordinator who can take care of all elements surrounding the big day.
From booking a local photographer, to arranging the bride’s cape hire, we can offer as much (or as little) assistance as you require. An important part of this includes the legalities such as ensuring you have completed all the relevent paperwork, an essential part of getting married overseas.
Many brides and grooms dream of a white wedding amid beautiful snowscapes. While this is almost impossible to guarantee here in the UK, Karesuando, a beautiful and remote village in Finnish Lapland located 160 miles north of the Arctic Circle, is transformed each winter into an authentic winter wonderland, making it a snow seekers paradise.
Imagine arriving to the ceremony by sleigh, pulled by your very own reindeer. Or you may prefer a the modern alternative, a snowmobile, ensuring the grooms speedy arrival ahead of his beautiful bride.
Later, as you celebrate your white wedding, perhaps the Northern Lights will dance overhead – the ultimate blessing for your union!
