Arctic Fjords and Midnight Sun
Experience the spectacular Arctic Fjords as they are bathed in the magical light of the Midnight Sun, deep inside the Arctic Circle. Here you will discover Tromso, a hidden arctic city known as the ‘Paris of the North’. Close to midnight we will enjoy dinner on the mountain peak with spectacular views of the Arctic Fjords glowing in the light of the Midnight Sun.
The day includes a walking tour of Tromso, which covers the Arctic Cathedral and the other places of interest in this marvellous city. (If you book the whale watching excursion, you will go straight to your boat, which is ready to take you in search of the spectacular whales.) The rest of the early evening is free for you to explore at your own leisure, perhaps strolling around Tromso’s streets and harbour, or having a coffee break. At around 21.30 (local time), we will be going on a cable car ride that will take us to a restaurant on a vantage point high above Tromso. There you can enjoy dinner as well as spectacular views of Tromso, surrounded by Arctic Fjords and the high Norwegian Alps, all lit and glowing by the light of the Midnight Sun. At just after midnight we will bid farewell to Tromso and return to the airport, for departure at around 0130, arriving in the UK early in the morning.
