Operational Sales and Marketing Manager

After over 25 years of successful tour operating, we continue to go from strength to strength. We¹ve just launched a new range of Arctic Spirit holidays where you can stay in an igloo, experience a husky safari, or go in search of the Northern Lights by snowmobile. So, if you¹re imaginative, hardworking and energetic, you may be just the person we¹re looking for.
This role requires an ‘all round’ travel professional. You will be responsible for and must have a proven track record in:
• Marketing strategy experience including online and offline
• Winning new business accounts in line with targets
• Achieving sales in line with targets
• Product knowledge in terms of contracting, producing brochures/websites with descriptions, prices, photos, working with printers etc
• Experience dealing with pre and post departure Customer Service issues - verbal & written
• Microsoft Word, Excel (spreadsheets)
• Experience working closely to help design and test new websites
• Substantial direct marketing.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of SEO/PPC, banner ads, affiliates, CRM, e-newsletters, social media and market research.
• Offline knowledge e.g. press ads, PR, radio, TV
• Data Management
• Staff management
You will need to be self-motivated, a team player and confident in your abilities to lead. This role requires an open mind, the ability to organize and communicate effectively whilst been able to delegate accordingly. You will need to have a good grasp of planning / logistics and be able to make changes / decisions as and when necessary and most of time on the spot and be able to communicate these changes to the team and all suppliers efficiently.
This is a permanent positions in our Oxford office. Flexibility will be required as you will be based overseas during the key operational periods.
