On this short break you can feel the spirit of the Arctic and we hope to catch a glimpse of the elusive Northern Lights. You'll experience some wonderful and exhilarating activities that take you into the beautiful natural surroundings of this part of the world. Your accommodation and activities are based around one part of the official Northern Lights route, which stretches for hundreds of kilometres across the plains of Lapland into the fjords of Arctic Norway. We can never guarantee that you'll see the Northern Lights, but on this short break - on 3, 4, or 7 night stays you'll certainly have every chance.

Arctic Spirit and Northern Lights itinerary
4 NIGHT ITINERARY
Day 1:
Fly from the UK in the morning. Arrive at your hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or book an optional excursion (extra cost). We recommend the Snowmobile Panorama (1.5hrs). Dinner at the Davvi hotel and cabins. Meals: D.
Day 2:
You can enjoy the morning at leisure or you may wish to book an optional excursion. We recommend the 'Snowmobile Wilderness' safari (3.5 hrs) or the Ice Fishing and Snowmobile experience (2.5 hrs); both at extra cost. In the afternoon you can meet reindeer herders from the indigenous Sami people. On our included 'Reindeer Camp' excursion, you will be introduced to the local herders and then you can enjoy a leisurely safari into the surrounding wilderness (5km). In the evening, you can enjoy an included Northern Lights Husky Safari, where a team of eager huskies will take you in search of the aurora borealis (duration 2.5hrs). Meals: B, L, D.
Day 3:
During the day, you can enjoy 'The Call of the Wild' husky safari. This is an included daytime safari, where you'll be introduced to the dogs, and learn about how they are cared for and handled, before embarking on a safari into the wilderness. In the evening, you'll go out on snowmobile in search of the Northern Lights. This is one of the most exhilarating safaris available - and you'll need to make especially sure that you're wrapped up warm! Meals: B, L, D.
Day 4:
Enjoy the day at leisure, or you may wish to book an optional excursion. We recommend our Lapland Multi-Fun excursion, which includes a visit to a nearby museum to learn about the many local traditions and customs, a visit to a unique Snow Castle, and an afternoon in the company of a reindeer herder who will introduce you to his remarkable way of life. This is a full day excursion (8 hours - at extra cost). In the evening, your included activity gives you a taste of genuine local customs as you don snowshoes and venture out under the arctic skies to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Meals: B, L, D.
Day 5:
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll be free to relax for the rest of the morning. There may be time for an optional excursion. Perhaps a snowmobile safari or a reindeer ride. Transfer to the airport for your return flight. Meals: B.
3 NIGHT ITINERARY
Designed for those who prefer a shorter, action-packed stay, the three-night short break includes all the ingredients of the four-night programme above, except for the Northern Lights Snowshoe Safari.
7 NIGHT ITINERARY
The seven-night itinerary gives you the very best chance to see the Northern Lights. And it's ideal for those who prefer a longer stay with more time either to relax or to choose from a whole host of exciting optional extra activities. The programme follows the four-night itinerary with extra days at leisure with optional activities available to book.
