Husky Expedition

A TEAM OF eager huskies awaits on our husky expedition, designed for people who really want an outdoor adventure in Europe¹s last wilderness. As the paws of the dogs pound through the perfect silence of the snow-drenched environment, the safari brings you into unforgettable intimacy with nature. You¹ll take care of your team of dogs and help to prepare meals by an open fire and spend one night in the heart of the forest in a wilderness cabin. Igloo Base Camp

OUR COOLEST ARCTIC Spirit break offers a taste of the land of the Northern Lights ... with one memorable night spent in an igloo! Based at the Davvi Arctic Lodge hotel, in Karesuando, the highlight of your stay will be the night you sleep in your very own ice house. With all the comforts of a warm cabin at your igloo¹s doorstep, this is a great way to experience a unique night¹s sleep. During the rest of your stay, you will venture out into the Arctic wilderness on a Fell Viewpoint snowmobile safari and get an introduction to the ancient art of snowshoeing.

Tented Base Camp

THE SÁMI CULTURE was born from a semi-nomadic lifestyle, following the migrating reindeer herds and living in lavvus, tepee-style tents which could easily be re-sited as the herds wandered the Arctic tundra. Now you too can spend a night in a traditional Sámi lavvu. In our Tented Base Camp, you will sleep amid the silent forest upon a bed of reindeer skins, enjoying the cosy warmth provided by a woodburning stove. Plus, your short break includes a Reindeer Camp Experience and a Snowshoe Expedition.

Husky and Skidoo Safari

A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY to develop your Arctic skills, using both traditional and modern modes of transport. This seven-night break includes a three-day adventure in which you will first Œmush¹ your own team of huskies through the Arctic landscapes, before the exhilaration of steering your own snowmobile as your expedition continues. You will spend two nights in genuine wilderness cabins, before returning to the comforts of the Davvi Arctic Lodge to complete your week¹s holiday.

SET OUT IN to the Lapland wilderness at the controls of your own snowmobile, on a three-night expedition that will see you explore the Arctic wilderness of three Scandinavian countries, Finland, Sweden and Norway, staying in wilderness cabins in all three countries. OUR TWO-CENTRE short break allows you to combine the thrill of journeying through the Arctic wilderness drawn by your own team of dogs, with exploring a lively and fashionable Scandinavian city. You¹ll take care of your own team of dogs and help prepare meals by an open fire and spend one night sleeping in a simple wilderness cabin. Also, explore Tromsø, Norway¹s cool northern city.

Fells and Fjords

7 nights. From £999pp.
ENJOY A SEVEN-NIGHT holiday that combines the unique joys of the Arctic wilderness with time to explore and enjoy the sophisticated delights of Tromsø, Norway¹s celebrated northerly city. Around half your holiday is spent at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando, where the Northern Lights are frequently witnessed and where a host of optional winter activities are available. A daytime snowmobile safari is included in your holiday. Then you make the spectacular drive back to Tromsø, for several days of city living, during which a city walking tour, a visit to the Polaria museum and to Mack¹s Brewery are all included.

In 2010, we have departures from Gatwick, as well as from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands and Manchester. Departures run from mid-January through to the end of March.

Optional activities

We have carefully selected a wide range of optional activities. These will be available to view and book online shortly. All additional activities must be pre-booked in the UK, as most will not be available if they are not booked in advance.

Keeping Warm

We provide full thermal clothing but we recommend you take your own warm clothing and wear at least two layers under the provided thermal suit.
